David Gibbs, AM

David Gibbs joined the Foundation Committee in 1995, with a family connection to the president at the time. Since then his excellent governance skills and strong interest in philanthropy have been welcomed.

David is a Partner at MVA Bennett – Chartered Accountants and Director at Abey Australia Pty Ltd. He is also a trusted advisor to a wide range of families, and their businesses. David holds a Bachelor of Commerce, is a qualified Chartered Accountant and is a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, the Taxation Institute of Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

In addition to his involvement with Very Special Kids, David volunteers his time with Cancer Council Victoria Ltd, Family Peace Foundation Ltd, Freemasons Foundation Victoria Ltd, Marcus Oldham College Foundation and Chairs the Audit Committees for the Commission for Children and Young People and the Victorian Inspectorate.
