Celebrating a very special birthday
Our first employee and patron, Sister Margaret Noone, celebrated a very special milestone today – turning 90 years old.
Sister Margaret’s life is a beacon of inspiration and her presence has enriched countless hearts. Our staff were delighted to celebrate alongside her and honour the many accomplishments she has achieved throughout her lifetime.
One staff member shared a beautiful poem to recognise this very special birthday.
Celebrating 90 years
To work at Very Special Kids is rewarding but challenging
And each of us does our best and plays our part
But to start Very Special Kids from nothing
Takes a heightened commitment, stamina and heart
Margaret endured many roadblocks growing Very Special Kids with incredible resolve
And to us, and future staff, our road forward is clear
For we must and will continue to improve our care for children and families
To sustain the legacy of our patron and pioneer
Playing a role in Margaret’s journey is certainly a privilege
Prolonging her legacy is a must
We join Margaret in celebration of 90 years
And in stewarding Very Special Kids’ future, we appreciate her ongoing trust
Margaret suffers no fools
And she has a very cheeky wit
She should be incredibly proud of all she has done in 90 years
Every day, year, in fact, every little bit
Happy birthday Margaret!
