Our new hospice

Our new hospice at Very Special Kids House puts children and young people’s needs at the heart of everything we do.  

In our most significant service improvement project ever, we are thrilled to have completed the rebuild of our children’s hospice, the only one of its kind in Victoria. Welcoming children and families from September, the new hospice features state-of-the-art and best practice clinical facilities to better support children of every age, size, nationality and functional capability.

We are very grateful for the support from both Federal and State Governments to help bring Very Special Kids House to life. We would also like to acknowledge Chain Reaction Challenge Foundation who was the catalyst partner of our hospice rebuild project, ensuring the project is thoroughly planned and the outcome maximised, as well as contributing almost $1million towards project.

We would also like to extend a very special thank you to our Capital Campaign Committee chaired by Andy Penn, including Paula Fox (Patron), Connie Kimberley (Patron), The Hon. Kelly O’Dwyer, Glenn Carmody, Neville Azzopardi, Peter Polson, and Sister Margaret Noone. The committee have worked tirelessly to assist us securing the funds to making our dream a reality.
