Very Special Kids House is Australia’s first purpose built and Victoria’s only hospice for children with life-threatening conditions. Very Special Kids House provides a home away from home environment where each child receives individual care. 

The House is light and colourful and the atmosphere welcoming and friendly and offers a place where families can take a break from the constant care of their child. It is also an environment which inspires trust and confidence for children and their families, allowing them to spend quality time together or apart.

Very Special Kids House is not a sad place; it is a place for living, fun and laughter, enjoyment and support.

There are activity areas, a lounge, a multi-sensory room, a music room and a landscaped playground including a wheelchair swing. Family members and friends can stay close by in family accommodation on site.

The eight bedrooms are specially designed to cater for children with complex care needs with specialist equipment to assist with the care of children.
Expert care is on hand to help them make the most of each day and live life to the full.
