Celebrating 100 Volunteer Training Programs
We’ve reached an impressive milestone this week with the start of the 100th Family Support Team Volunteer training program!

The first Volunteer Training Program was held in 1986 and attracted an impressive 22 volunteers. Today, each Family Support Volunteer completes a 27 hour training course to equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to support families who have a child with a life-threatening illness. To date since 1986 we have trained 1012 volunteers. Thank you to all the wonderful people who have volunteered with Very Special Kids over the past 27 years.
