The Age Run Melbourne, is the community fitness event for everyone. With the right training, anyone, at any age and any fitness level can participate. It's also an opportunity to raise money for Very Special Kids.

With the option of a 5km run/walk, 10km run or half marathon, anyone can join in the challenge and run/walk on a course that features some of Melbourne’s icons. Highlights include: Federation Square, St Kilda Road, Government House, The Shrine of Remembrance, The Royal Botanic Gardens, Birrarung Marr, the Yarra River and the MCG.

When you enter The Age Run Melbourne, you will be prompted to enter your fundraising information as an individual or as part of a team. The event’s online fundraising partner, Everyday Hero, will assist you in setting up a profile with the ability to add your own photos, a special message of inspiration and a fundraising target thermometer. Once your page is complete, simply tell your friends and family so they can jump online and sponsor you.

By joining as a member of the Very Special Kids Team you will receive a FREE quick dry running t-shirt to wear on race day once you have raised $250. You will also receive tools to kick-start your fundraising and tips along the way. On race day we will be there to cheer you along to the finish line. Click here to download a flyer.

Enter The Age Run Melbourne event:

· Go the Run Melbourne webpage www.runmelbourne.com.au, under the ‘Entry’ tab, click on ’Enter now’ followed by ’Start a New Entry’. Complete the form down to the Fundraising Information section and select ‘I wish to fundraise as part of a team’ – ignoring the ‘fundraising for’ and ‘fundraising target’ options.

· Continue to complete the form until you reach the ‘Team’ section towards the bottom of the form. Click on the “Select/Create Team” and in the pop up screen search for the Team Name Very Special Kids.

· On completion of your entry you are given the option to ‘Start Fundraising Now’ which will take you to the Run Melbourne Everyday Hero Page.

Join the Very Special Kids Team Everyday Hero page (the fundraising part):

· When asked to ‘select a charity’, search and ‘choose’ Very Special Kids.

· If you already have an Everyday Hero account, login on the top right of screen. If you are new to Everyday Hero complete the form to set up your own personal Everyday Hero account.

· Everyday Hero will then ask you to choose whether you would like fundraise as an individual or part of a team – choose ‘Part of a Team’. Then search for Very Special Kids Team, select and enter ‘special’ as the password to join.
