supporting families of children with life-threatening illnesses for over 25 years

become a volunteer

Volunteering is an integral part of the service delivery and fundraising model that Very Special Kids has adopted from its inception. We are proud of the hundreds of individuals who give so generously of their time to help us achieve our mission of supporting families.

Very Special Kids provides two volunteer programs; the ‘Friends of Very Special Kids’ and the Family Support Volunteer Program.

You can choose to work directly with children and families by becoming a Trained Family Support Volunteer or you can assist with fundraising and administration work as part of our Friend Volunteer Group. We also have opportunities for Corporate Volunteering that are aligned to our corporate partner relationships.

How to become a Friend of Very Special Kids.

If you are interested in becoming a Friend volunteer you will need to attend one of our regular information sessions, which are held at Very Special Kids, 321 Glenferrie Road, Malvern. Here you will learn about the work and mission of Very Special Kids and how you can assist through volunteering.

Dates for 2012

Sessions run from 6.30 pm- 7.30pm.

Please phone 9804 6222 to book your session attendance and to receive an information pack.
