Very Special Kids cares for children with life-threatening conditions by providing a children’s hospice and professional support services to families.
The free-of-charge family support services include counselling, advocacy, sibling support, bereavement support, networking and peer activities and specialist care at Very Special Kids Hospice.

Volunteering is an integral part of Very Special Kids’ service delivery model. Family Service Volunteers assist in four different ways:

  • In the family home
  • When the child is admitted to hospital
  • When the child is at Very Special Kids Hospice
  • By participating in program activities, such as Sibling Days

Every Family Service Volunteer completes 27 hours of training to equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to support families who have a child with a life-threatening condition.

RSVP by Friday 17 November to Nathan Brown on 03 9804 6222 or nbrown@vsk.org.au.
