Very Special Kids is fortunate to have some very generous holiday options donated for our families to access. Some are free of charge, while others charge only a minimal payment. Each has its own requirements, conditions and availability.

Annie’s Cottage
|
The cottage is situated on Chetwyn Farm near Bairnsdale, approximately three and a half hours drive from Melbourne. This accommodation is free of charge and exclusive to Very Special Kids. The venue will sleep up to ten people, is wheelchair friendly and a great favourite with families. Bookings are available all year round, and there is plenty of opportunity to visit Lakes Entrance or Paynesville.

Daylesford Area
|
There are a few bed and breakfasts in this area that are mostly for couples for one to two nights on weekdays. They are free of charge but have limited availability.

Balnarring – Harbour View
|
These six fully furnished houses are run by the Presentation Sisters. Reduced charges apply and are negotiable. The site is a five-minute walk from the beach and a three-minute drive from the Balnarring Township. It is approximately one and a half hours from the city and half an hour from Frankston. Family activities are organised during the school holidays, and as this is not exclusive to Very Special Kids, bookings are advised well in advance for the school holidays. Other times are more accessible.

Gwenrose Farm – Clunes
|
Situated near Ballarat, Gwenrose has a camp-like atmosphere with plenty of accommodation in cabins or a bunkhouse for larger families. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are communal and not far from the cabins.
There are heaps of activities for everyone, including a movie theatre, animals to feed, canoes, mini golf, table tennis, train rides and much more. It is available for most of the year and more than one family at a time is welcome. Minor charges apply and are negotiable.

Echuca / Moama
|
Family accommodation is free of charge between May and October. This popular tourist destination has plenty to offer, with lots to see and do for all family members, and most areas are wheelchair friendly. This is available as a one-off for each family and is not available in school holidays, public holidays or weekends.
