Bequests - Very Special Kids

Very Special Kids has been helping families of children with life-threatening illnesses for more than 20 years now. Our lengthy experience in paediatric respite and end-of-life care has led to the construction of Australia’s first children’s hospice, Very Special Kids House, and the development of a wide range of family support services that assist not only the ill child but parents, siblings and extended family.

By making a bequest to Very Special Kids you are providing us with a secure future. Our existing services will not only be maintained but expanded, new equipment purchased and new programs implemented, enabling Very Special Kids to reach out to many more families in need.

Many people have already mentioned Very Special Kids in their will, and by simply adding a few words (a sample of which is below) you can leave a lasting legacy to Victorian families caring for children with life-threatening illnesses.

Below is an example of standard bequest wording that you can include in your will:

I________________________, do hereby give, devise and bequeath (the percentage, residue, specific sum or gift of property) to Very Special Kids, 321 Glenferrie Road, Malvern, Victoria 3144, and I DIRECT that the receipt of the treasurer or other proper officer for the time being of Very Special Kids shall be good and sufficient discharge to my trustee therefore and my trustee shall not be bound to see to the application of this legacy.”
